SUMMARY
This main report brings together key conclusions from four studies {1-4} undertaken to obtain a better understanding of why people have to struggle throughout their adult lives, in all countries and organisations, at all levels, to maintain and improve their standard of living and quality of life.

We know what people are struggling to achieve {13, 14} and so this study was undertaken to explore why people have to struggle by looking at what they are struggling against.
The report looks at the way ‘Economics’ has been used to misinform and mislead the general public, and looks at the role and vested interests of experts. It describes how companies (corporations) accumulate their capital and reserves from moneys taken from customers and how
people’s massive savings are placed under the control of others.

And shows how taxpayers’ moneys are used in different ways to enlarge the profits of companies.
It discusses and illustrates the internal struggles taking place in political parties and all other organisations, for achieving greater democracy and against those wishing to overpower democratic processes of decision-taking.

MOTIVATION OF TOP-LEVEL
LEADERSHIP {2}
Directors are motivated by pay in its various forms, by
greater wealth and by greater influence which includes
dispensing patronage, and by power. The pay of directors
is what owners decide to pay themselves and their
directors, and increases with increasing influence and power.
Considering mergers and take-overs, we see top-level leaderships battling with each other for more power, for greater control, over people and resources.

DECISION-TAKING IN COMPANIES {2}
Owners take the profits but have transferred much of their own risk to other people, to suppliers, customers, and employees, by limiting their liability for the debts of their companies.
The person who is the majority shareholder in effect controls the company <1> and decides what is to be done and how it is to be done. So the system is organised so that a few, a relatively very few, people at the top take the key decisions.
Although a company does not take decisions it can be held responsible and can be held to account for decisions taken by individuals within it. To that extent it serves as a front behind which those who take key decisions can hide, as a front for owners and directors.
The most effective control of corporate irresponsibility appears to be the fear of bad publicity, of public awareness of socially irresponsible company behaviour, with its effect on company image, consumer trust and market share, and thus on profits.
Particularly so when publicity names those responsible for making antisocial decisions within the
company, and those responsible for condoning, or for omitting to restrain, the company’s antisocial activities. {1}

SOCIAL SYSTEM
We see a pattern of differentials which rewards service to the owners and their establishment rather than ability or service to the community. The pay of directors is what owners decide to pay themselves. Nurses, teachers, fire-fighters and police officers are at present paid comparatively little for the work they do. {2}

OWNERSHIP AND CONTROL OF MONEYS (Capital, Savings, Wealth)

CAPITAL TAKEN FROM CUSTOMERS {2}
Customers are not given a choice. Enterprises (their owners) simply take their customers’ moneys for getting back money already spent on the business and for expanding the business without giving the community corresponding ownership rights.
Enterprises collect moneys from their customers by the simple expedient of charging more than their actual costs.
The source of profit (surplus) is thus money collected from their customers, is money which belongs to customers.
When one buys goods or services, the price includes not only the manufacturer’s and supplier’s costs and profits, but also includes moneys (depreciation; capital replacement) for replacing their buildings and equipment.

So an enterprise collects from its customers whatever its assets like equipment and buildings have cost, doing so without paying income tax on the amounts it collects.
And enterprises (their owners) are also continually collecting money from their customers and are enriching themselves by adding these moneys to their reserves.
Shareholders would not even consider handing their moneys over to a company without in return becoming an owner of a corresponding part of the company, without getting a corresponding number of shares in return. But all these moneys are taken by enterprises (their owners) without in return giving corresponding ownership rights to their customers or the community.

Even co-operatives and mutual aid societies (building societies, credit unions) have been retaining some of their members’ profits each year, for no apparent valid reason, accumulating these moneys for over 150 years <4>.
By continually adding these moneys to their reserves they have become rich and powerful. Their chief executives and directors have become powerful, influential, and well paid.

OWNERSHIP {2}
Ownership laws which assign ownership ‘rights’ to owners have been devised by the owners themselves or by those who serve them. Ownership of land and means of production, of funds and wealth, has always been accumulated at someone else’s expense. All belonged to the community, belonged to all alike.
To ‘rob’ is to take unlawfully. But we are here looking at moneys being taken legally and largely without the customer’s (owner’s) informed knowledge or agreement.
What is taking place is perhaps best described by the phrase ‘legalised robbery’.

TAKING POSSESSION OF THE POPULATION’S SAVINGS {2}
Company pension funds run into many GBP billions and between them own, and thus are in position to influence and control, much if not most of UK’s share capital.
Including company credit unions and providers of private pensions, such moneys and funds should be under the control of those who contributed and those who are contributing to them. But ultimate control, and the power and influence that goes with it, have in effect been taken from the working population and placed in the hands of those who own and control companies (corporations).
Instead of being under the control of those who contributed, these moneys are in effect placed under the control of a few people at the top who in this way gain power, are enabled to dispense patronage (and support each other), gain high incomes and much wealth.

OWNERSHIP AND CONTROL {2}
What we see is a system where owners and top-level leaderships enrich themselves by taking or using and risking other people’s moneys.
This ‘legalised robbery’ seems to be a key feature of the way society is organised to benefit those at the top.

GOVERNMENT ACTIVITIES
Government activities serve business enterprises (owners) byTransferring taxpayers’ moneys to enterprises.
Condoning tax avoidance by enterprises (making good the loss by collecting more taxes from the population).
Using taxpayers’ moneys to pay operating costs of enterprises.
And serve business enterprises and the rich by Condoning tax avoidance by the rich.
Taxing the working population more severely.

TRANSFERRING TAXPAYERS’ MONEYS TO ENTERPRISES {3}
Some employers pay wages which are so low that employees are forced to work long hours merely to survive.
A government may then make up such wages with means-tested income support benefits to a poverty-existence level.
Which is apparently what happened in the UK while minimum-wage requirements ceased to be applied. In such ways taxpayers’ moneys are used to subsidise the profits of companies, of their owners.
Taxpayers’ moneys are also used to subsidise the profits of companies when a government pays a subsidy to a company for every new employee. This is so regardless of whether the subsidy is paid as a single payment or whether it is paid for a limited period as part of the employee’s wage.
Overall, the amounts channelled similarly into private profits seem large. There may be investment grants,
depreciation allowances, grants in aid, tax allowances, tax-free benefits, loans at favourable terms or other ways of financial support to enterprises in industry, agriculture and the service sector.
Very large amounts are apparently handed over yearly in such ways to increase the wealth and power of a small number of people without any corresponding return to the community. They are generally given without a corresponding transfer of ownership rights and control to those who provided the money, to the community.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg admitted that the Biden administration pressured his companies to censor certain COVID-related content and that he regrets throttling the Hunter Biden laptop story in an August letter to the House Judiciary Committee.

U.S. citizens: Demand Congress investigate soaring excess death rates

(LifeSiteNews) — Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg admitted that the Biden administration pressured his social media companies “to censor certain COVID-19 content” and that it was wrong to censor the Hunter Biden laptop story.

In a letter addressed to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep. Jim Jordan, Zuckerberg wrote, “In 2021, senior officials from the Biden Administration, including the White House, repeatedly pressured our teams for months to censor certain COVID-19 content, including humor and satire, and expressed a lot of frustration with our teams when we didn’t agree.”

“Ultimately, it was our decision whether or not to take content down, and we own our decisions, including COVID-19-related changes we made to our enforcement in the wake of this pressure,” Zuckerberg stated.

“I believe the government pressure was wrong, and I regret that we were not more outspoken about it,” the Meta CEO wrote, adding:

I also think we made some choices that, with the benefit of hindsight and new information, we wouldn’t make today.

Like I said to our teams at the time, I feel strongly that we should not compromise our content standards due to pressure from any Administration in either direction – and we’re ready to push back if something like this happens again.

Meta is the parent company that owns two of the biggest social media platforms in the world, Facebook and Instagram. During the COVID crisis, these platforms engaged in heavy censorship against content that went against the mainstream narrative. In May 2021, LifeSiteNews’ main Facebook page was permanently banned for publishing what the social media company deemed “false information about COVID-19 that could contribute to physical harm.”

Facebook also said they de-platformed accounts that published “vaccine discouraging information on the platform.”

In 2023, Zuckerberg admitted in an interview with Lex Friedman that Facebook censored COVID-related information that turned out to be “debatable or true.”

Despite these admissions, LifeSiteNews’ main page remains permanently banned to this day.

Elon Musk, a longtime rival and critic of Zuckerberg, commented on the letter, saying that it “(s)ounds like a First Amendment violation.”

Hunter Biden’s laptop and election interference

Zuckerberg also admitted that it was a mistake to censor the New York Post’s bombshell Hunter Biden laptop story in the lead-up to the 2020 election.

“In a separate situation, the FBI warned us about a potential Russian disinformation operation about the Biden family and Burisma in the lead up to the 2020 election,” the letter stated.

“That fall, when we saw a New York Post story reporting on corruption allegations involving then-Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s family, we sent that story to fact-checkers for review and temporality demoted it while waiting for a reply.”

“It’s since been made clear that the reporting was not Russian disinformation, and in retrospect, we shouldn’t have demoted the story,” Zuckerberg said.

The “Twitter Files,” published after Musk took over the company now called X, revealed that the FBI played a significant role in the suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story on social media, priming the key platforms’ key employees to dismiss the story as a Russian “hack and leak” operation despite the FBI’s prior knowledge of the laptop’s authenticity.

Zuckerberg also acknowledged that “some people believe” his tremendous financial investment in supporting “electoral infrastructure” during the 2020 presidential election “benefited one party over the other,” i.e., the Democrats.

These contributions “were designed to be non-partisan – spread across urban, rural and suburban communities.”

“My goal is to be neutral and not play a role one way or another – or to even appear to be playing a role. So I don’t plan on making a similar contribution this cycle,” he said.

In the lead-up to the 2020 presidential election, Zuckerberg donated more than $400 million to a left-wing non-profit, The Center for Technology and Civic Life, which then disbursed the money to local government election offices, largely in Democrat-leaning counties, as LifeSiteNews has previously reported. Analyses have shown that the funding significantly boosted Joe Biden’s vote margins in crucial swing states and may have determined the outcome of the election.

Facebook’s get-out-the-vote effort also reportedly helped register over 4 million voters before the 2020 presidential election. However, Facebook and other social media companies have shown that they have a massive anti-conservative bias and helped Democrats win elections through their one-sided censorship efforts.

CONDONING TAX AVOIDANCE BY ENTERPRISES
(making good the loss by collecting more taxes from the population) {3}
A multinational company can minimise its liability for corporation tax by transfer pricing, that is by making book entries which transfer profits to the country with the lowest corporation tax {5}. This tax avoidance is legal and governments have not legislated to prevent this practice.
So citizens pay more tax, the government can now spend the same amount as before, the multinational’s profits have increased. In other words, the multinational’s increased profits arise from moneys which are in effect collected by the government from its taxpayers.
The multinational, and this means the owners and directors of the multinational, are thus in effect taxing the people and in this way increasing the multinational’s profits and thus the incomes and wealth of its owners and directors.
A unitary taxation system can overcome this tax avoidance by assessing the actual profits being generated by a multinational in a particular country. American state governments have tried to install systems of unitary taxation but, as far as I know, multinational corporations have been able to dissuade state governments from applying such systems.

USING TAXPAYERS’ MONEYS TO PAY OPERATING COSTS OF ENTERPRISES {3}
The mark-up between buying or producing in a low-wage country, and then selling in a high-wage country, is often enormous. Large additional profits result.
Unemployment increases in the home country. There are many costs associated with unemployment such as social security payments to the newly unemployed.
It is accepted as a principle of economics that social costs have to be paid by those causing them, a well-known example being the social costs arising from polluting. So the social costs of unemployment have to be paid by the enterprise which caused the unemployment in the first place.
Companies, however, are not made to pay the resulting costs of unemployment, are allowed to pass these operating costs to the community and are thus making large profits at the expense of the community.
Not having to pay the resulting social costs of unemployment, companies can readily and socially-irresponsibly reduce wages and thus the standard of living in a country by threatening to move their production facilities to another country.
They do so for the sake of private profit but no action is taken to prevent them from doing so by recovering the social costs from them, or to deter and punish such socially-irresponsible activities by punitive penalties.

CONDONING TAX AVOIDANCE BY THE RICH {3}
There would seem to be no good or valid reason for condoning tax-avoidance by those who are rich.
What stands out is that there are ways in which the rich can avoid paying their share of the tax load.
By placing their funds in offshore and tax-free locations or by locating companies elsewhere, to give just two examples.
Condoning tax-avoidance by the rich increases the tax load on the working population.

TAXING THE WORKING POPULATION MORE SEVERELY {3}
The government spends for the community the money it receives from the community, collecting it through taxation.
When owner-serving governments ‘reduce income tax’ for individuals and companies, it is the rich who gain much, the working population hardly benefits. One then sees that the amounts contributed by the rich are being drastically reduced.
To claim in such circumstances that government expenditure on public services has to be cut so as to make ends meet, appears to be a one-sided viewpoint.
Moneys saved by spending less on social security for those in need and gained by collecting more tax from the working population, are apparently being used to reduce the taxes collected from the rich and from companies.

SERVING ENTERPRISES AND THE RICH {3}
So what we have seen is that taxpayers’ moneys are used in different ways to enlarge the profits of companies and thus of their owners, and to make the rich even richer.

We saw that companies are in effect allowed to tax the population and are also allowed to pass large parts of their operating costs to the taxpayers.

And that tax avoidance by enterprises and by the rich is condoned, the government making good the resulting loss by collecting more taxes from the working population.
Moneys saved by spending less on social security for those in need and moneys gained by collecting more tax from the working population, are apparently being used to reduce the taxes collected from the rich and from companies.
And when taxing the working population more severely, the ways in which taxation can be used to shift the tax load between income groups are numerous and often hide behind fine-sounding phrases.

PROFIT MAXIMISING
In practice directors are generally required by owner-serving laws to act first and foremost in the interests of the owners, so that it is profit which is maximised. Short-term and long-term profits can be and are being maximised. {1}

When profit becomes an overriding or sole objective to owners, directors or managers, they concentrate on maximising profits regardless of cost to others. Profits are then maximised regardless of the cost and consequences to the community, limited only by the likelihood of unpleasant consequences such as restraining fines, punitive legal punishment or adverse publicity. {1, 2}

One of the requirements for the free-market economic system to work, is that profit margins and prices need to be controlled effectively so as to protect the community from exploitation. But they are not. {2}

To owners and employers the worth of a job is what has to be paid to get it done. They want work to be done at the lowest rate at which they can get it done as profits can be increased by reducing labour costs, by exploiting employees.
Owners and employers use inflation as an excuse for reducing real wages and salaries of the working population so as to increase profits.

Employees are then not compensated for increased skill, experience and responsibility, do not receive their share of the increasing national income and wealth. UK pensions have now to be increased by 34 percent just to reach the level at which they should be now. And pensioners still have to be
compensated for the moneys withheld from them without good reason by the government since 1980.

This attack on the living standards of the working population is misleadingly called a ‘fight (or battle) against inflation’ to persuade the working population to tighten its belts, to reduce its standard of living, so as to increase profits. {1}

So owners and employers will, when they can, pressurise the working population into accepting even lower rates of pay by increasing the working population’s needs. Doing so by advocating greater unemployment, reducing social security, reducing national health service provisions, weakening the quality of education (knowledge, clear thinking, understanding, objective evaluation). {1}
And, as said already, moneys saved by government by spending less on social security for those in need and moneys gained by collecting more tax from the working population, are apparently being used by owner-serving governments to reduce the taxes collected from the rich and from companies. {3}

In addition, purchasing power is being transferred from the bottom to the top. It has been estimated that 10 percent of the UK population were sinking into direct poverty, any gains in income being overtaken by the increasing cost of living. The next 20 percent were losing out, were being reduced to relative poverty. On the other hand the top 0.4 percent of the population took gains in take-home purchasing power which were 100 times those received by the general population. This was the situation some time ago but it seems to have got worse rather than better. {2}
More or less ignored is the large top-level remuneration which has been increasing yearly for some years at up to four or five times the rate of inflation, increasing each year by amounts many times exceeding the average income of the working population. {1}

So profits are apparently being maximised regardless of the cost to others, to the community. Without care or concern for the condition, standard of living or quality of life of the working population.

Without being concerned about the in sum-total enormous human suffering which results.
Overall, what we see are consequences of decisions made at the top, and the results of putting them into effect.
Results and consequences which at times make the decisions seem so brutal that they appear inhuman.

CORRUPTED ECONOMICS {1}
Misleading biased interpretations and pronouncements are made in the name of ‘economics’ which relate to exploiting people at work, as citizens, and in the market place. It appears that misleading and inappropriate terms are used which confuse instead of illuminate, and which seem intended to confuse.

Index-linking is an accepted way of taking the heat out of employer and employee pay bargaining. After index linking, pay bargaining can concentrate on the main issue, namely on how to share out the increased value created by the joint effort of both sides, and on how to adjust national differentials to ensure that no one section gains unfairly at the expense of others and to balance out inequalities.
A ruling establishment could be expected to avoid and resist index-linking of pay because index-linking would limit their efforts to increase profits by lowering the standard of living of the working population.
But what stands out is the way the UK’s trade union and Labour party establishments appear to have neglected index-linking for so many years.

MISLEADING EXPERTS {1}
An expert is supposed to advise to the best of his ability, knowledge, skill and experience and is responsible, that is accountable, for the quality of his advice. Responsible, that is accountable, also to those he is advising.
Too often do experts tell people what the expert thinks is good for the people to do. Too often it is the expert who decides or who attempts to compel others to do as told.
Employers have a strong influence on what their employees say in public and employees are likely to be
advocating viewpoints which are employer-serving instead of being people-serving and community-serving.

And bias can be increased even further when media present mainly one point of view, say that of employers, or of a particular political party, or of advertisers.

Good afternoon folks we’re going to use a recent paper to go break down a critical aspect of geophysical dynamics that plays into weather and existential risk for our species one of the critical things we’ve done over the last decade and a half is to report on analyze and aggregate the more than a thousand studies on how the Sun impacts the atmosphere.

suggests that changes in solar activity are responsible for an enormous fraction of the Arctic warming this is important because few people know that the Arctic changes actually represent more than a third of all climate change yes more than 33%.

So to see them suggest that solar forcing was equal to greenhouse gas CL es is quite the Revelation and a happy surprise to see in a mainstream science journal.

Now let’s take that latest analysis using the best data published just last week and combine it with something else that has been widely ignored the fact that the changes in the Arctic region are about 2/3 driven by ozone depletion this study has also been bafflingly ignored in favor of demonizing carbon dioxide and while this paper blames ozone. Bing pollution those chemicals have been plummeting in concentration while near record and even record ozone holes keep appearing the real reason behind this problem is also solar driven.

You see normally there is a balance solar ultraviolet light makes ozone photochemically but solar particles like protons and electrons destroy it.

Disbalance has been tipped recently as Earth’s magnetic field is weakening the current mag magnetic pul
shift has allowed far more solar particles and cosmic rays to enter the atmosphere and those are causing a depleting effect so combining this with the previous study on equivalent solar forcing to pollution it begins to paint a very different picture but it doesn’t stop the ozone the solar wind is having a greater access to the entire atmosphere.

In this pole shift both directly and indirectly the solar wind not only penetrates more easily but pushes more Van Allen belt electrons downward. The increased proton bombardments and geomagnetic forcing at the polar region is enhanced and that spreads throughout the globe rapidly. Through the ionospheric wave guide these things taken together have one simple implication we have covered hundreds of papers on the solar destruction of the
ozone the forcing of heat precipitation wind lightning storms including tropical storms major oscillations like Elin and Atlantic and Pacific patterns and the major Hadley cell and walk your circulation controls on the climate.

You already know my dear how fast everything you create at the subtle level gets realized at the physical one now and first of all it concerns your thoughts and emotions yet as children till 12-13 years are still mostly dependent on your energy profile.

They unintentionally absorb all the energies you emit into the world so having even thought anything but they catch a cold you already send your child the negative energy of fear that getting into their energy space starts attracting what you are afraid of.
To it as a result they actually fall ill the same happens when you fear they will get bad marks not behave well or not live up to your expectations.
This way a lot of people being unaware of it themselves create their children’s reality in a negative vein and then scold them again for this.

Yet now everything has become as apparent as ever since with every single day there is Getting Thinner and thinner the veil that separates physical and subtle worlds and so as to help your child gain peace of mind and self-confidence.

Tell them as often as possible how wonderful unique talented and loved they are.
Support all their creative initiatives and help them reveal all their genuine abilities and the main thing do not scold them when they fail but help them overcome difficulties in correct mistakes so that they will not lose heart let them feel your love every minute of their life both being by your side and far away from you.

For you already know that there are no obstacles for energies in terms of time or space .
Envelop your children with your love as if with a Divine blanket this is the only way for you to protect them from the negative emotions that are still strong on Earth and to increase your children’s vibrations at least to the level of the fourth dimension Believe me my dear it is within your depth I bless you and love you immensely father absolute spoke to you

The use of ivermectin to treat COVID-19 is an ongoing debate. The central conflict is that although many doctors have reported success in using ivermectin, some studies published in major journals suggest it is in fact ineffective.

Even as the FDA recently has been removing misinformation it posted about ivermectin, the agency has maintained its original position regarding its effectiveness, namely that there isn’t evidence.

People who trust ivermectin claim that the studies showing ineffectiveness are fraudulent, while people who are skeptical of its use for treating COVID-19 view that as an anti-science conspiracy theory.

As a professional with decades of research experience conducting dozens of clinical trials on antiviral drugs, I decided to dive deep into the studies purporting ivermectin’s ineffectiveness. What I found shocked me.

Legacy Media Report Ineffectiveness

Numerous preclinical studies have found that ivermectin has a broad range of effects on COVID-19, spanning from its initial effect on viral infection to its effect on the pathological changes the virus causes in our bodies.

Ivermectin inhibits the entire life cycle of SARS-CoV-2 in our cells, including attachment, spreading, and replication (1, 2, 3).

Moreover, ivermectin is anti-inflammatory and organ-protective, which can potentially protect against severe COVID-related lung damage and acute respiratory distress syndrome, heart-related complications, and blood clots.

Ivermectin exceeds the approved antiviral effects of other medications, including Paxlovid, molnupiravir, and remdesivir, which target only the virus and lack anti-inflammatory and organ-protective effects. Monoclonal antibodies have to be constructed specific to each variant and are very expensive.

In the pharmaceutical industry, clinical trials are commonly used to evaluate the efficacy and safety of drugs once their mechanism is demonstrated. There are two types of clinical trials: observational and interventional.

Observational studies are often conducted by doctors in clinical, hospital, or community settings to analyze the effects of drugs. The data are collected as observed in clinical practice with minimal interference.

Many doctors have observed the positive effects of ivermectin on their patients. An observational study conducted in Brazil with more than 88,000 patients showed that ivermectin reduced the rates of infection, mortality, and hospitalization by 49 percent, 92 percent, and 100 percent, respectively.

Pharmaceutical companies are required to conduct interventional studies that meet the approval standards set by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Randomized clinical trials (RCTs) are frequently used to fulfill these requirements. This type of study is considered the gold standard and involves randomly assigning one group of patients to receive a specific drug while the other group does not receive it, then comparing the outcomes.

Legally and medically, ivermectin can be prescribed off-label to treat COVID-19 since it has already been approved by the FDA for other diseases.

Although many doctors have observed the positive effects of ivermectin in treating their patients, the media have specifically highlighted data from a few selected RCTs that have concluded it is ineffective in treating COVID-19.

However, some critical aspects were overlooked in those RCTs.

Improper Dosing

A drug’s therapeutic effects can be observed only when it reaches the appropriate concentration in the body and remains there for a few days, allowing sufficient time to work.

Improper dosing was a major issue in the RCTs that found ivermectin ineffective.

Recommended Dosage

According to Merck’s package insert for ivermectin (brand name Stromectol), a single oral dose of 0.2 mg/kg was officially recommended for treating parasitic diseases. There is no official dose for COVID-19.

The recommended dosage of ivermectin for treating COVID-19 is based on the clinical experiences of physicians worldwide.

The Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC) guidelines recommend taking 0.4 mg/kg of ivermectin daily, immediately after exposure. Once a cumulative dose in excess of 200 mg is reached, the risk of acquiring COVID-19 has been shown to be nearly zero.

It is common for a drug with multiple indications to have different doses for different diseases.

Moreover, ivermectin should be given with food, as it has a 2.6-fold higher bioavailability when taken with food than when taken on an empty stomach. The Merck package insert (revised May 2022) also supports this and states, “Administration of 30 mg ivermectin following a high-fat meal resulted in an approximate 2.5-fold increase in bioavailability relative to administration of 30 mg ivermectin in the fasted state.”

FLCCC guidelines also recommend taking ivermectin “with or just following a meal for greater absorption.”

Yet this important dosing information is not reflected in the commonly used drug prescribing resource known as the Prescribers’ Digital Reference, which states: “Take the number of tablets your doctor has prescribed all at the same time with water on an empty stomach. Do not eat any food within two hours before or after taking the tablets.”

So if a person takes the dose while fasting, they are getting only 40 percent of the recommended dose. For patients with a higher body weight, the effects of underdosing could be even more significant.

RCT Studies Used Inappropriate Dosing

In the most recent PRINCIPLE trial published in March, ivermectin was used at 0.3 mg/kg for only three days. Moreover, it was designed to dose the ivermectin without food: “Participants were advised not to eat two hours before or after taking ivermectin.”

In another RCT, ACTIV-6, published in JAMA in October 2022, ivermectin was dosed in a fasting status; the protocol stated, “Ivermectin should be taken on an empty stomach with water (30 minutes before a meal or 2 hours after a meal).”

Ivermectin was reported as dosed at 0.4 mg/kg for three days—a much shorter time period than it should be. However, in the protocol Table 4 in Appendix 16.3.3, the precise dosing was as low as 0.269 mg/kg, and 0.4 mg/kg is actually only the upper dose limit—not the real dose.

According to the worldwide recognized study guideline ICH Good Clinical Practice, clinical trials must adhere to ethical principles. Failure to do so would be considered study misconduct or fraud and would violate the principle of integrity.

Another JAMA study published in March 2021 repeated the same mistake in mild COVID-19 patients by suggesting they take 0.3 mg/kg for five days on an empty stomach.

An RCT study known as TOGETHER, published in March 2022 in the New England Journal of Medicine, underdosed ivermectin with 0.4 mg/kg for only three days and did not mention dosing with food.

Nevertheless, even at this low dose, the ivermectin reduced hospitalization rates, death, and the need for mechanical ventilation compared to a placebo.

Clinical Improvement Despite Underdosing

It is inappropriate to conclude that ivermectin was ineffective based on these RCT studies with major design flaws.

Despite the poor study design, ivermectin showed clinical benefits and saved lives.

In the PRINCIPLE study, self-reported recovery was shorter in the ivermectin group than in the group receiving usual care, with a median decrease of 2.06 days. The statistical analysis showed that it met the predefined superiority criteria.

Furthermore, the analysis showed that ivermectin effectively reduced COVID-19-related hospitalizations and deaths. Only 1.6 percent of 2,157 patients in the ivermectin group experienced hospitalizations or deaths, compared with 4.4 percent of 3,256 patients in the usual care group.

Even a low dose of ivermectin has demonstrated the potential to save lives. However, the authors concluded, “Ivermectin for COVID-19 is unlikely to provide clinically meaningful improvement in recovery, hospital admissions, or longer-term outcomes.”

Meanwhile, the report’s appendix includes dozens of recorded clinical benefits in patients treated with ivermectin, such as the time it took to alleviate all symptoms, general unwellness, muscle aches, and headaches. The improvement of symptoms was also sustained, and the severity was reduced. Surprisingly, the source PDF was removed from the website during the writing of this article.

There are additional examples. Although the previously mentioned 2021 JAMA study underdosed patients, treatment with ivermectin reduced recovery time by two days. In the ACTIV-6 study, only one venous blood clot event was reported in 817 ivermectin-treated patients, compared with five events in 774 placebo-treated patients.

Statistical Failures

It is important to note that the definition of treatment effects in an RCT can differ from those discussed in real-life observational studies.

Sometimes, even if the results of a clinical trial demonstrate a clear effect, the conclusion may still be interpreted as ineffective because of the statistical definition of effectiveness.

Interpreting statistics can be challenging as they usually involve complicated mathematical models and numerical data that can be manipulated to support a specific agenda. Nevertheless, for the purpose of this discussion, let’s presume that all research is carried out conscientiously and without manipulative intent.

Selection Bias

Many people, including physicians, may not be aware that interventional studies, particularly RCTs, are prone to numerous biases, with selection bias being one of the most significant. Excluding potentially eligible individuals because of their anticipated group allocation can lead to selection bias.

It’s common knowledge that early treatment of COVID-19 is crucial for effective results. The earlier the treatment starts, the more effective it is. These approved antivirals for COVID-19 are used shortly after COVID-19 infection and usually within a few days after symptom onset.

For example, Paxlovid and molnupiravir registration trials treated patients within only five days of symptom onset.

However, in the PRINCIPLE trial, ivermectin was used for patients within 14 days of symptom onset, while ACTIV-6 treated patients an average of six days after infection.

Patients with severe kidney disease are normally excluded from phase 3 studies, as they are less likely to respond to antiviral treatment. This approach has been taken by remdesivir (protocol), molnupiravir (protocol), and Paxlovid (protocol). However, such standard exclusion criteria were not taken by the ACTIV-6 or PRINCIPLE study protocols.

Why was ivermectin treated so unfairly in these clinical trials?

It is well known that when an RCT is sponsored by Big Pharma, there is often a financial conflict of interest, as the research institutions are usually hired or funded by the pharmaceutical company. In a world where wealth often competes with ethics, how many can resist financial temptation and stay true to moral principles?

“Hidden agenda bias” occurs when a trial is conducted to demonstrate a desired outcome rather than to answer a question.

Proven Without a Profit Motive

Conducting an RCT to get a drug approved by the FDA requires money. Every drug must be managed by a professional team composed of doctors, database managers, and assistants. Professionals must secure funding, recruit a lead investigator, and find hospitals to conduct the study. An operational team must perform the study, analyze the data, and gain FDA approval.

Since ivermectin is a generic drug that lacks profitable marketing and a pharmaceutical sponsor, it’s challenging to organize and systematically manage its new application with health authorities, data, and customers.

Nevertheless, doctors worldwide have been using ivermectin to help patients and have collected valuable data.

The website c19ivm.org has compiled data on 102 clinical trials proving ivermectin’s consistent effectiveness in treating COVID-19. Studies with negative conclusions about ivermectin are also included, such as the four RCTs with recognized design flaws.

Since the beginning of the analysis, ivermectin has consistently shown efficacy. This meta-analysis provides a thorough and transparent real-time analysis of all eligible ivermectin studies.

The trials were conducted by 1,139 doctors or scientists from 29 countries with 142,307 patients. Out of the total studies, 86 have been peer-reviewed with 128,787 patients, and 49 were randomized controlled trials with 16,847 patients.

In the studies with comparative groups, ivermectin was shown to reduce the risk of COVID-19 infection by 81 percent, mortality by 49 percent, ICU admission by 35 percent, ventilation usage by 29 percent, and hospitalization by 34 percent.

In comparison with the control groups, the group treated with ivermectin as a preventive measure before infection experienced reductions in the most severe clinical outcomes of COVID-19 by 85 percent. When used in the early stage of COVID-19, ivermectin decreased the severity of the disease by 62 percent, and when used in late stages, it reduced the clinical severity by 39 percent. Clinical severity is measured by death, ventilation, disease progression, and hospitalization.

Considering the Entire Picture

It’s difficult to believe that the designers of these studies were unaware of the dosing of ivermectin. Despite all the above analyses, the reasoning behind the ivermectin underdosing or unfavorable study design may be linked to factors beyond science.

A new drug or vaccine cannot achieve an emergency use authorization status if there is an existing viable therapeutic available. This fact alone may have affected many decisions.

The NIH website lists only those RCTs that I found to have design flaws (or potential fraud) to justify its recommendation against the use of ivermectin in the treatment of COVID-19.

Peer-reviewed studies showing the efficacy of ivermectin in treating COVID-19 have been retracted without explanation, and doctors have been demonized,censored, and doxxed for speaking the truth.

Legacy media, including The New York Times and CNN, reported incomplete and improperly interpreted trials that failed to present an accurate representation of ivermectin’s effects.

It’s important to keep an open mind and consider the entire picture when examining the ivermectin issue, rather than dismissing it as conspiracy or misinformation. This can lead to more informed decisions that could ultimately save lives.

Very happy for those that think Ivermectin is ineffective against COVID to keep getting their COVID vaccine boosters. My family did our research about the vaccines and quickly concluded that being “safe and effective” but requiring a 100% government backed immunity for adverse events was an oxymoron so we looked for alternatives and found the FLCCC.
Unlike the TGA,APHRA,CDC ,FDA,WHO and the myriad of other alphabet agencies that were pushing the government vaccine line, the doctors at the FLCCC were experienced ICU specialists with first hand knowledge from treating COVID patients. We chose to follow their advice which included Ivermectin. Despite the Australian government banning its use for COVID treatment and APHRA threatening to deregister doctors that prescribed it, we were able to source large quantities of Ivermectin.
We sailed through COVID with zero problems and my wife and I are in the supposedly high risk age group for COVID – late sixties.
Anyone that tells you Ivermectin doesn’t work for treating COVID is either lying or is an idiot.

The speed of the quantum particle spin, resonance or vibration is based on the amount or percentage of compassion/light a quantum particle has. Quantum particles create a filmy image of any thought and intent, a consciousness or human has for as long as they hold their focus on that thought. The image will carry the resonance and clarity that the THINKER HAS. Sloppy thinker, sloppy images.

The image is solid enough to be moved by another consciousness.

The quantum field and quantum particles have no time or space and are in a continuous flow of unconditional compassion and love. When the THOUGHT is NOT compassionate the quantum spin of the quantum particles slows and collects matter, dropping the consciousness OUT of the quantum field into the quarantined toxic dark bandwidth of 3D/lower 4D resonance reflecting back to the thinker, their thought, it’s vibration and intent.

Quantum LAW of RESONANCE or VIBRATION says each resonance has different event sites with particular themes or purposes with unique sensations, colors, sounds, tastes and smells. Vibrations are predictable, measurable and can be calculated and understood. You interact in real time with any resonance your thought patterns electromagnetically match, attract and entrain with.

Repeated motions are called “oscillations” or “cycles.”

“What goes around comes around” or “as you sow, so shall you reap” is the basic understanding of how karma, the law of cause and effect, works. YOUR actions will eventually have consequences, even though it may be a great many incarnations later.

Each dimension, parallel universe and alternate reality involves exploring its key principles, beliefs, behavior and the wisdom. Currently on Gaia there is an ever increasing oscillation of energy for the individual and planet to transform their slower lower and darker vibrating beliefs into higher consciousness of compassion.

About death and rebirth, to consciously realize that there is NO separation, only a physical transformation of the biology. You can be continuously connected with your soul essence and anyone else’s soul. Soul is infinite and you reconnect with that instantly with your focused intent and thought on it.

We transform our ancestral energy OR become aware that our soul keeps reincarnating into different biology’s generally into the same groups. Generally we skipped a generation only to reincarnate again with the same group. Grandparent and the new infant may well be the same soul essence over and over again.

In a great many incarnations and for millennia humans as individuals and in groups violated the Principle of FREEWILL and The Law of ALLOWING, activating The Law of ATTRACTION that pulls LIKE resonating or vibrating consciousness together electromagnetically. The Law of ENTRAINMENT holds LIKE resonating consciousness together, AND homogenizes their customs, ideas, values and consciousness.

The Quantum, Universal or Cosmic Principle of FREEWILL is found ONLY in the dark bandwidth and illusion of 3D/4D dimensional frequency. Each entity has the right to direct and pursue their life or reality, as long as they DO NOT VIOLATE the rights of others including the planet’s rights.

Humans have decided they have a basic RIGHT to force, control, use and abuse each other including the self. These behaviors were crystallized in childhood to the biology or form that was too small, weak and powerless to resist or have any control or boundaries. Lifetime after lifetime the child is forced, growing up to be an adult that forces and controls the self and others physically, emotionally, psychologically and/or financially. Reinforcing these patterns in society, religion and our traditions. Humans do not live as equals, most every system has a hierarchy, slavery, suppression and oppression that violates the laws of freewill and allowing.

To withstand our traumas and abuses we suppressed, numbed and separated out from our consciousness, how we FELT and what we sensed during those times and experiences of abuse or trauma. To move into higher frequencies we need to reunite how we FELT during our traumas and abuses with the memory of them.

As a group and individually.

Then consciously remember and realize the cause and effect cycle YOU put into motion when YOU forced and controlled. Know that your current wounds and traumas are the same wounds and traumas you gave to others many incarnations ago.

You gave as good as you got!

NOW, are you ready to transmute your thinking into compassion?

Consciously compassionate puts you into higher frequencies being balanced and peaceful, tuned into the present moment or now moment of experiences.

IF you believe a grander or superior being needs to punish or bless or forgive or create for you. You are NOT being responsible for yourself or equal or compassionate with you. How can you be equal IF there is a hierarchy? The lowest level of awareness or consciousness is FEAR and the FALSE belief or illusion of being victimized instead of being a conscious compassionate creator.

A small group of high-tech savvy entrepreneurs who understand the velocity of technological innovation have harnessed this new power to establish predatory high-tech monopolies, such as Uber or Amazon. They subvert labor laws, strip the state of its power, gut regulation, ignore legal norms and amass personal fortunes in the hundreds of billions of dollars.
Their apps, services, and private equity firms dominate our lives. They are technological predators seen in every aspect of social existence commodification.

The living wages of working people decline. The gig economy abolishes job protections, sustainable incomes and benefits. AI replaces human beings. The most vulnerable are pillaged for profit.
The sick feed the profits for big pharma. The bodies of poor men and women on the streets of our bleak.
De-industrialized cities feed the profits of the prison industrial complex. They’re worth nothing until they are locked in a cage in the world’s largest prison system generating between 50 or $60,000 a year fed, of course, to the privatized phone services, the money transfer services, the commissary, and the medical services that have privatized American prisons.

Utilities sold to private companies gouge us with overpriced water, electrical, parking, and sewage bills.
At the same time, we are the most watched, photographed, spied upon and monitored population in human history. This technology far from improving our lives is creating a new serfdom, if not a new slavery, all the while propelling us at a dizzying rate towards Ecocide.

Joining me to discuss our dystopian present and most probably our dystopian future is Loretta Napoleoni, author of Technocapitalism: The Rise of the New Robber Barons and the Fight for the Common Good. So let’s begin.

You open the book with Bitcoin, cryptocurrency and I am very weak on that, so I told you you’ll have to hold my hand through it, but you really cite it as extremely important in the emerging societies in which we are going to live. So, I’ll let you just start and explain what they are and why they’re so important.
Well, basically, Bitcoin can be described as the currency of the people. I mean, for a start, let’s distinguish between Bitcoin and all the other cryptocurrencies. So Bitcoin is the first one. It was given to the world by an anonymous individual or group of individuals called Satoshi Nakamoto, and it was put into the cyber universe exactly at the time of the big crash, right after the Lehman Brothers crash. So the timing was perfect, which makes us think that perhaps whoever Nakamoto is, is somebody from the system, that knows very well how the system works.

What is really Bitcoin? Bitcoin is a currency which is produced by software, and this software performs all the task that a true currency should perform. So we’re not talking about the US dollars. We’re not talking about the pound or currency. They’re constantly devalued because of inflation, but we’re talking about the all style currency that was linked to gold and it was produced and it was in circulation according to the rules of the gold standards, which of course were very few for a very short time. So Bitcoin is produced by software. So it’s
not controlled by any central bank, it’s not controlled by any governments.

The software has been programmed in a way in which these Bitcoin are released in blocks by an activity,
which is called mining, and this activity is solution of mathematical formulas. The solution
of mathematical formulas becomes increasingly more and more difficult. Now, why is that? Because
whoever created this currency wants to guarantee a scarcity. So there is a limited number of Bitcoin
t will be produced, which is 21 million. The time scale is going to be a century and a half almost, and the timing has to be every 10 minutes a block is produced. The timing and all of this structure is guaranteed by the difficulties of solving the mathematical formula.

So this is quite complex, complex system which initially was not really understood.
At the very, very beginning, kids used to solve the mathematical formula like with skates, that kind of stuff, and then used the Bitcoin for various things. There’s an interesting story of somebody that bought a pizza using your Bitcoins, for example. But as we went through the financial crisis, it became increasingly clear the Bitcoin was an alternative to the fiat currencies, which clearly after 2008 had lost their meaning.

Most of the bailout, for example, that was given to the banks was produced by clicking a few keys on the treasury computer. So in other words, money doesn’t exist. So this is the issue that Bitcoin trying to address to create a currency that will give you that stability and trust and will not be controlled by anybody else.

So the controlling system is all based upon the people that participate in the system. So you download your software from a computer, which is of course free for everybody.
You start investing. You become a member of the Bitcoin community, and you are the one together with all the others that will evaluate the various activities that are taking place.

So everything that happened is right there, is transparent, is in the clear. The solution, even the mathematical solution of the formula, and this is very important, once somebody manages to solve the formula and so a block is released, the entire community of people who are connected, so they’re part of the Bitcoin community, has to approve that solution.

So this is called proof of work. So it is quite complex to do it because we’re talking about millions of people. This is why Ethereum, which is another cryptocurrency came after Bitcoin, decided not to use the approval work, but to use a limited amount of people that would actually evaluate if that solution was right or not, but I disagree with that. I think if it’s the currency of the people should be in control, the control should be among the people.

So that’s more or less is… Oh, yeah. Then there is the other thing which is about to happen by the way, because in April, well, between the end of March to the beginning of May, there will be the halving. So every about four years, so every 21,000 blocks which are released, the number of blocks, the number of Bitcoins contained in the block is reduced in half. So at the very beginning, it was 50 bitcoins. Today we’re at 6.75. And then in a few months after the 9:49 halving will be at 3.75. So that is a mechanism in place in order to guarantee that the Bitcoin is not inflated, and also to guarantee that whoever is using the Bitcoin does not use it for speculation. How widely used is it? Well, at the moment, Bitcoin is widely used. We just got the approval for Bitcoin by the FDA. So basically every single big bank is using Bitcoin for investment, trading, the Bitcoins into the open. So this kind of recognition was very, very important. Now there was a reluctance, of course, to do that, but in the end they had to accept that the popularity of the Bitcoin is a reality. So finance, if they can make money for something, they will go and make the money and there are money to be made, of course, in Bitcoin. But the key issue here is the fact that Bitcoin is a threat to the currencies in circulation in every single state, so the US dollars or…
Bitcoin is a transnational currency, so it’s a currency that you can use everywhere, but it is a threat to the monopoly, to the monetary monopoly of the central bank, and that is why they try to stop it, but they couldn’t stop it. They couldn’t even put it out of law. They have done it with other currencies before because the software… I mean, you can’t put the software on trial, right?

They don’t know who Satoshi Nakamoto is, so they can’t arrest them. Of course, the community of the Bitcoin holders is the people so you can’t stop the people from doing it. At the end of the day, money is based on an act of faith. You trust that the US dollar is worth something. In fact, in the US dollar it says in God we trust, meaning it’s a bit of [inaudible 00:12:23].

Let’s talk about all the cryptocurrency fraud, the queen of cryptocurrency from Bulgaria, you write about her in the book. There’s also a lot of people have been fleeced in this digital currency world. At the very beginning, again, we’re talking about Bitcoin, so Bitcoin was the first one, and then a few years later we got other currencies. The One Coin, the one I talk about, Bulgaria clearly was a fraud and a scam. So looking at Bitcoin, even Bitcoin was used for illegal activity, was used in the Silk Road, for example, in the Darknet. Now, why was that? Because, I mean, it was a mean of exchange. There was no control and nobody knew really how traceable Bitcoin is, but once this became clear… Because what I have not explained to you is that every single block which is released is then logged into a blockchain. So the moment in which the proof of work is approved, that block becomes part of a chain. Inside that blockchain, we have all the information about the block, so who solved the formula, at what time and so on and so forth. Let’s call it block number five. Okay.

Every single time the Bitcoin contains in block number five are sold, purchase, halve, you can sell halve of it, for example, and keep that halve, everything is put in another block which is attached to that block. So let’s call it block 5A, and it stays right there. You can’t delete it. You can alter. That’s the blockchain technology which is behind the Bitcoin. So every single moment you can go into the software and see the life of every single Bitcoin was produced from day one, was in January 2009. So once this was understood, then the Bitcoin became one of the worst currency to use for illegal activity because you can trace it every single moment.

Now, if you want to do money laundering, for example, of course, you will have to move the Bitcoin from one of the blocks. Let’s say you have done some activities illegal and you’re been paid in bitcoins, so nobody has seen that from the point of view of the authorities, but the moment in which you want to change that Bitcoin into a currency, right? Because you do need to money launder those money. What are you going to do with the Bitcoin? Otherwise, it’s not sits there. That in that moment, then that is going to be registered automatically into the block. So this is how the monetary authorities but also the anti-terrorism, the anti-drug squads have unveiled
several of these activities used through Bitcoin and of course, they have arrested people. So today actually Bitcoin is one of the least used currency because most of the illegal activity and criminal activity is actually done in cash because cash is still king when it comes down to traceability.

Well, let’s talk about the fraud, I mean, because these cryptocurrency empires have a pretty rapidly deflated. Well, the FTX, I think is the best possible example, but then again, it is not the cryptocurrency per se. Again, I want to distinguish between Bitcoin and the other cryptocurrencies because I’m a great believer of Bitcoin but not a believer in the other cryptos because Bitcoin is the only one that has this kind of system that I explained to you. The others are much more loose. But in any case, I mean, the FTX story is very significant because how did it happen? Well, Sam Bankman-Fried was a trader, I mean, was one of those intelligent mathematical kids and he was trading and then all of a sudden he discover that there were discrepancies in arbitrage between one place, another place. In other words, if you bought Bitcoin in Tokyo, you actually got a better rate than if you bought Bitcoins in New York. Now, this is at the very beginning, so we’re talking about seven or eight years ago. So he thought, “Well, great, let’s exploit these differences,” and he made quite a lot of money. Then at that point, he decided that he was going to create an exchange. Basically, the exchange was doing what he was doing, so making money out of the discrepancies in prices due to the geographical position. But then it started to produce its own cryptocurrency, which of course was out of nowhere. I mean, it was not Bitcoin.

It was that it didn’t have a software system. Just one day he decided, “Well, I’m going to issue this
currency.” People started flocking and wanting to buy, especially celebrities.

Now, the guy was very popular among celebrities. This is another thing also this sort of tech titans is that they live in a ghetto, which is the super rich ghetto and everybody wants to make even more money using the expertise and knowledge of one another. So he start getting hundreds of millions from various people in order to invest in on exchange. He took the money, of course, in dollars or other currencies, and in exchange he gave them cryptocurrency. So basically the participation exchange was based upon exchange at the end of the day, dollars for this cryptocurrency. Now, why did they buy this cryptocurrencies? Why did they do that? Well, because they thought that it was so smart and that they idea of the crypto exchange was so incredibly appealing that they thought, “I get today the cryptocurrency that is producing at an exchange of,” let’s say, “one-to-one to the dollar, and then you carry on making so much money, then it’s cryptocurrency is going to go up in value, and so it’s going to be more two to the dollar and I’ll be doubling immediately all my money.” Okay. So it’s a scam,
but it is also a scam that was supported by people who participated into the scam, who were the victims of the scam, because it’s the classic story of people that come to you and say, “Oh, if you give me this money, I’m going to invest in that. You’ll double your money.”

Does all of this threaten the hegemony of the dollar? Because of course, the power of the dollar is that it is the world’s reserve currency and once it loses that hegemony, it is going to be catastrophic to the American financial system. Yeah, I think it’s going to be catastrophic not only to the financial system, but it’s going to be catastrophic also to the power of the state. So imagine a world, where you do not have anymore currencies, but you only have Bitcoin or something similar to the Bitcoin. So software will produce it and then your people will control it. So how is the state going to be able to print billions and billions of dollars to save the financial sector from yet another crisis? That would be impossible because the state won’t be in control of the Bitcoin. Okay. But also how would the state print the money to finance the war in the Ukraine? Because of course, the state will not have control over the money supply. Money is key. Money supply is the pillar, the biggest pillar of power or political power.

This is what the cyberpunk… At the very beginning in the book, I started the book with the story of the cyberpunk group of computer scientists in the Bay Area in the 1980s and these people wanted to guarantee the protection of the individual inside the net, so to prevent the state from controlling the net and from spying on people on the net also. They produce a cryptographic system to guarantee the people will be able to talk to each other without being spied by the state, but they couldn’t possibly, I mean, produce a way in which people would not have to use banks to do transactions because there was the real barrier.

If you want to buy something, you got to buy it through a bank, through a credit card, and you have to pay through a currency which is, of course, control by state. And then came Satoshi Nakamoto, but he came 20 years later. So I think this is the real threat now.

That’s explained also why the state is now trying to produce its own digital currency, which is not a crypto, but it is considered like crypto. So they’re trying to catch up, but I am a firm believer that this potentially… If bitcoins really take off, this potentially could change the structure of the nation state. Let’s talk about crypto-anarchy and then you mentioned Julian Assange, and I just want you to play out his opposition to the crypto-anarchists.

Well, so the crypto-anarchists are… So the cyberpunks was a group of computer scientists all from the US. The only one that was not from the US was Julian Assange. Now, it was a very strange group of people because I mean, they were connected through technology, so they were all very much pioneers in the computer science, but politically they were very different. So there was a very strong group of libertarians, for example, I mean, the classic American libertarians where the state should not have anything to do with me, I can look after myself, that kind of stuff. But there were also people, they were quite, I wouldn’t say necessarily right wing, but almost intellectually racist because these people were very smart, but also I think some of these people have serious social problem of interaction. They were on the spectrum of Asperger. Anyway, so part of this group was talking about a sort of supremacy of the smart guys over the people. So they were considering the people as a sort of inferior kind of groups that had to be ruled, they had to be directed, that they did not have the same kind of understanding of what’s right and what’s wrong that they did. Now, Assange was very much against that. They had a mailing list, which was a mailing list where people would exchange. We’re talking about still at the time, which there was CompuServe, so very before we had the internet as we have it today and the mail system. So they had this mail system where they could talk to each other and exchange ideas and proposals. Within this
mailing list, it was all cryptographic, so only them that could see it. There was a very heated exchange and discussion between this group of crypto-anarchists, if you want to call them, and Assange who instead said, “This is an instrument through which we can empower the people. The people should know. The people should be allowed to make decisions.”

And then Assange went on, of course, to create WikiLeaks, which did exactly that.
What did the rest do? Because they became, as you call them, the new robber barons. You have examples in there. Uber is a good example. But they harnessed this technology to essentially carry out vast campaigns of pillage and greed against the rest of us.

Well, I mean. We have several examples. Now, in all fairness, most of the robber barons were not part of the cyberpunk mailing list necessarily, although several of them, especially the founders, they became immensely rich because, of course, they were in the industry at the very beginning.

So they stopped working, taking away several millions of dollars so they could do whatever they wanted. But I would say that the robber barons is very much the generation that comes right after people like Assange. In fact, there are some of them, they’re younger, 10 years, not very much, but these are the one who came to this kind of business through video games.

So, forget about politics. See, now, we have the very beginning, the internet was considered an instrument of empowering people and also bring about democracy into the society. Then a decade later, we have kids who have grown up playing video games who actually know the functioning of the internet extremely well, and they spot certain kind of situations where being computer-savvy, knowing how to code, because that’s the other thing, could create a business model that could enrich them immensely. And then they started. So the first wave made quite a lot of money, sold their businesses, and then they became the so-called serial entrepreneurs.

What is the serial entrepreneur? Well, this is robber baron basically because they spotted an opportunity. They learned from that opportunity. They made a lot of money from that opportunity, and then they decided to reproduce that model in another sector at the higher and higher and higher scale. Now, all of this was motivated by profit. So there’s absolutely no desire to produce anything that can enrich society. This is why I’m talking about the common good. Possibly, this is due to the fact that these people grew up with video games, so for them it’s all a game. See what I mean? That there is this filter of the internet, which doesn’t really make them understand exactly what does it mean to be exploited, or exploited, I would say by the system, but possibly also because of their ego, because all of a sudden being a serial entrepreneur, being Jeff Bezos for example, or being Elon Musk or Peter Thiel was of the maximum that you could achieve, so everything was allowed to you because you were… Except those original members of the cyberpunk because you are smarter than the others. But they’re not smarter. They’re smarter in terms of technology. There’s a wonderful short story by Stefan Zweig about the world chess champion, and everybody thinks because he’s the world chess champion, he’s wise about everything else. The conceit of the story is that he’s sort of an idiot about everything else. I think you do a pretty good job of exposing, especially figures like Elon Musk, and you get into the whole space industry are kind of idiots. What they do know how to do is harness this new technology to exploit.

So, just let’s give some examples. First, I want you to talk about blockchains, and then I want you to give the example of Uber because it’s kind of a classic example of how that technology is used as a bait at the beginning and then a form of really horrific oppression by the time it’s cemented into place in terms of timing and exclusion and all that kind of stuff. But talk about blockchains and then just talk about the case of Uber. Well, I mean, okay, blockchain is what we have in Bitcoins.

So potentially actually blockchain could change completely the way we interact at commercial level. It also could make obsolete phenomenal amount of work. So now we’re all talking about, yes, AI is going to make lots of people out of work, which is absolutely true, but the blockchain comes before AI. So let’s say you don’t need anymore to have a lawyer if you have these contracts, which are smart contracts, whereby the contract states that if certain
circumstances are verifying, for example, a divorce, then automatically the division of wealth is going to be such, and this is signed and done, and that stays in the blockchain, so can verify they was done a certain date. Then the situation verifies, and then here you are, you’re not going to court, you’re not doing any because you already have the agreement in place. Now, this is a very simple example. But blockchain also could be applied to smart cars. So here you are, eventually, you can have a driverless car, which through a smart contract
will go by itself, will drive itself for a change of oil after a certain number of miles and go to the mechanic. They will do the change of oil or maybe the robot, they will do the change of oil, and pay automatically, because in the smart contract, which is again in the blockchain, you will have all of this information. When the certain number of miles will be reached that verifies, then all of this is going to happen. I mean, that’s what blockchain could do, and the same thing is for voting. Now, it can be positive. It can be negative. It all depends. This is the issue. The issue is all of this technology can be immensely, immensely positive for us provided it’s put in the hands of the people for the common good.

Well, of course, it is controlled by a limited number of individuals. Here we go to Uber, because at the end of the day, the concept of Uber, which by the way, the story is quite interesting because the guy, one of the two founders of Uber, he’s a Canadian and he sold his first startup for quite a lot of money and then he moved to San Francisco where he was working for the company that actually boat his original startup, but he was doing nothing, right?

So he was going clubbing every night in San Francisco and he was watching James Bond movies.

So this is the kind of people were talking about, okay, these kids. So anyway, while he was watching
Casino Royale, he sees that James Bond is calling his car with the smartphone through a map to come
and pick him up at the casino. So at that point, he has this idea to create a system that would
use the smartphone and the maps that Google had just put on the market in order to call a cab
a night after going clubbing. Now, the problem was that you couldn’t find cabs because it was a shortage of cabs in San Francisco. So yes, the idea to use rental cars, the blue cars, the one that you can rent, what we call in the UK Minicabs, and put them on a map so that you could interact in the map and call them and see who is available and blah, blah, blah. So this is how he got the idea. And then eventually, he did develop the first Uber app, thanks to the technology.

Now, of course, he knew the technology because he was somebody who understood technology or knowledge of technology. The Minicab company in the UK that were doing that kind of service did not know the technology, so they couldn’t do it. They couldn’t do the app themselves. Now, today, everybody has the app, but we’re talking about a time in which really was a great idea. And then he had this idea that why using these cars, why not using normal cars? Why not using normal people so people can make an extra back basically driving people around through the app? Initially, it was very appealing to the drivers and to the passengers because it put together… So it was a system where he put together two people that were happy to do business together. I mean, the drivers were all self-employed, so they got a good return for their work, but then as the system developed, everything changed because of greed, of course. So Uber starts taking more and more and more percentage out of the driver, and then it start conditioning the driver also, forcing the driver to accept certain rides. Well, and punishing the driver if they don’t.

I think in the book, they have 15 minutes or something, and if they don’t accept, then they can’t even get work. Yeah, exactly. Then if you do not accept, I think it’s three rides in a row, you are locked out for 24 hours or for 24 hours. But you see, I mean, I was in Calgary just now and I was picked up by Uber driver and this guy was telling me that he had lost his job. I think he was from West Africa. He had family, a new baby, another child.

The wife was not working, had lost his job, and he was doing Uber driving just to integrate salary, but now he was driving all the time. He was telling me that the situation hasn’t changed at all. I mean, Uber takes a big, big cut out of every single ride. I asked him, I said, why don’t you go and work for a taxi company?” He said, “There aren’t taxi companies.”

See, that’s the other thing because Uber has driven out of the market in certain places, not everywhere, in certain places, all the competition. Now, that is another element of what I talk about the book. These people have been able to create oligopolistic position for themselves and the few other people like them who actually can master technology kicking out everybody else. Now, that should not happen because this is again competition policy, but the only place where they’re trying actually to stop them and to implement competition law is the EU. In the US, it’s completely wild market. Well, they also skirt laws, labor laws, regulations. Because they’re a new technology, there’s no real oversight and they exploit it.

There’s a lot in the book. I just want to close because you do at the end of the book with SpaceX space exploration and eco side, but here’s where you really lay out how technologically these people are quite gifted, but in terms of understanding reality, the world around them, and of course, what we face in a moment of climate catastrophe, they’re utterly clueless.

You really make that point around this whole idea that we’re all going to live on Mars or something. So, let’s close- Isn’t absurd?

Of course, it’s completely absurd, but let’s talk about it because they don’t think it’s absurd. I mean, you actually write the physics of what being in a situation with zero gravity does to your… It destroys your body. I mean, it’s not even sustainable. But go ahead, I’ll let you talk.

Well, I mean, it took me a long time to write that section. I had to have doctors working for me to make understand because, okay, so Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos come across as if they know it all. Because you think if these people become billionaires, of course, I must believe what they’re saying. Well, it’s not because it’s absolutely not true. Now, the reason why they’re talking about going to Mars, colonized, being a multi-planetary civilization and stuff is because that kind of thought appeals to people, because people like to dream about us being able to conquer the universe.

So through that appeal, then they can get the real objective, which is basically to colonize the low Earth orbit. Now, the only place where the human body can live in space for a limited still amount of time, so we’re talking maximum one year with massive exercises to reduce the bond density phenomenon due to the lack of gravity, it is the low Earth orbit because the low Earth orbit still has a little bit of gravity, so you’re not completely out of gravity. So the reason why they want to colonize the low Earth orbit is because this is where the business of the future is going to be done. I mean forget about the Moon, forget about the asteroids. I mean, even if in a future not too far away, we could go and mine asteroids, you will have to do it with robots and the robots will have to live from the low Earth orbit. So that will be the center of distribution of activity in order to mine space. But for now, the reason why they want to colonize the low Earth orbit is because of telecommunication. So because they put satellites there and then here we are, they will mine our data, suck our brains basically through their satellites. There are places already in the world, like you go to the north of Canada, the very north of Canada where there’s no internet.

The only internet is Starlink. So Elon Musk is the only one who provides internet there places in the Pacific, in the Atlantic, or there is no internet. So you can get very good internet through Starlink.

Now, another thing I want to add is why is this data so important? Everybody says, “Oh yes, data is how they managed to manipulate elections.” Well, the truth is the data with AI now is also going to be the fundamental factors of the future of warfare. Without that data, you’re not going to be able to go to war anymore. Whoever is going to have the most amount of data, because this is how AI actually improves, is going to have a distinctive advantage over all the others.

So I think that again, they are a step ahead of us, but they’re also step ahead of governments, and the reason why they’re a step ahead of us and governments is because most people and most governments do not even bother understanding what the technological revolution is all about.

So it is our fault, and that’s what I say in the book, we got to wake up from it. I mean, we’re sleepwalking. This is the end of the book. I said, “We’re sleepwalking into dystopia and we don’t even realize.” We think everything is fantastic because we can see each other on Instagram, we can talk to each other on Facebook, and we do not understand. So I hope that this is what the book does to just teach a little bit about technology and help people waking up.

Well, because it goes back to Plato’s cave, they have quite effectively mesmerized us on the apps and the screens while in a very real way, not just financially, but also in terms of you have a section on what it takes to produce an electric car. By the time you’re done, your carbon emissions are, I think you write that producing fossil fuel-driven cars, actually more, but it’s all a game. It’s all a very pernicious game while we’re barreling towards systems collapse.

Yes, exactly, system collapse but due to ignorance. I mean, look, this winter, for example, it’s always happened with the Tesla. I mean, at minus 15, minus 20, the Tesla stops working. Now, it doesn’t take a lot to know that because if you have your iPhone and you go to Finland and it’s
minus 20, within a few minutes, your iPhone stops working because the batteries go flat because
that’s what’s happened to the lithium batteries. But how is it possible? Nobody’s thought about
this before. How is possible that nobody has confronted Elon Musk when he was launching his
Tesla producing all this stuff, saying, “Excuse me, but okay, you can drive in California
where the weather is never going below zero,” but what’s happened when you drive in the Scandinavian
countries? I mean, what are you doing to prevent the flattening of the lithium batteries?
Okay. So I think a lot of journalists do not do their job properly anymore because they don’t have money, because I mean, newspapers and magazines don’t have money, but the government, for God’s sake, they do have money, so why there are not expertise from the government contesting that kind of information that is put through the various channels that these guys control?
Well, in order to sustain this technological revolution, as you point out in the book, it’s an acceleration of our assault on the planet. So on the one hand, of course, we are given all these gadgets and toys, but we’re actually obliterating… In order for this revolution to happen, we’re obliterating what future we have left.
This is why the idea of colonized Mars is part of the narrative, because the truth is that if you tell people, “Well, don’t worry too much about climate change. Don’t worry too much about overpopulation.” Shall we discuss overpopulation also? Because we’re going to go and colonize Mars, and then Mars is going to be as beautiful as Earth, or Jeff Bezos comes with these weird ideas to create artificial planets inside, which of course, people could live. There’s a film, I think it’s called Elysium. It’s a film where there is one of those artificial where the poor people are on the Earth, they’re left behind, blah, blah, and all the rich people live in these artificial planets which are absolutely beautiful, and they all look like California, of course, where the weather is always nice. It’s not cold, blah, blah. Clearly, if you fall into that trap, you don’t worry so much about the planet because you think, “Well, there is a solution.” Well, no, there is no solution. This is the only planet we have. If we do not save this planet, our grandchildren will not be able to survive. And that’s the point of the book.

Yeah, this is the point of the book. Now, if all of this technology, because all this technology was put at the use of the common good, that technology could reverse everything, could reverse the climate change. Of course, it is not going to solve the problem of overpopulation, which is a problem that we have to address in a different way, but technology could, for example, provide zero energy production for the entire planet. You can put solar plants in the low Earth orbit, which harness the ray of the sun, and then send through microwave messages, microwave rays that send it to Earth, and they can power the entire planet. You know who is using this technology at the moment? I mean, the US is using that technology to produce the microwave weapon.

That’s right. Depends who has it. Technology is a neutral force. Exactly. Exactly. It serves whoever controls it. Unfortunately, we live in an age where the technocapitalists and the corporations have us in a death grip. What just happened with Israel and Yemen and what’s going on with Israel and Lebanon is a complete Game. We have the entire United States of America pivoting for what will become a very long duration War a conflict in the Middle East we saw lots of people race and scramble to go fill up their gas tanks. We have the US uh Labor Statistics which will always be skewed in the favor of growth they will never tell you how bad things actually are and only in retrospect when you actually see that maybe the victors did rewrite history will you be able to go back and say hm was it really how.

Why would it be more paranoid to look in the reverse mirror of an ATM while you’re taking money out than it would be to watch for a car to be following you home while you’re going to the grocery store and so we enter a very thin area very thin line of smoke and mirror. Between what Society depend uh determines to be paranoid and then what is actually a standard operating way to live your life. Now for me I’m watching the ATM just as closely in fact going to the ATM is one of those times that Kelly and I will take a sort of Buddy watch system where nobody’s just sitting there looking at their phone oblivious to what else is happening in the world.
You’re actually ready to act if acting is needed but you don’t skew and you don’t vary too much farther from that when you do go to the grocery store or when you do go to the uh The Big Box store and maybe you’re loading some Electronics piece into your vehicle. Well what about at your house when you’re taking things from the trunk up to the front door. Anytime that you can see You’re vulnerable you need to recognize that You’re vulnerable and you need to increase your situational awareness it’s not paranoid folks paranoid is uh you know you’re you’re inside your house and you have an alarm system that can only go off when you uh you know when you enter your code in there and you’re inside your house and you’re going to the bathroom and you take apart your Plumbing because you’re afraid that somebody put some sort of radiotransistor inside of your plumbing. Could it happen sure the likeliness of that thing happening very very very very unlikely but hey if you’re uh Trump maybe it is maybe uh something else will come your way so you do just have to walk that line I hope that you and your family will really take note of that.
Don’t be afraid to be a little bit just a little bit cautious we’re not even going to say paranoid don’t be afraid to be cautious.

money than ever who their profit their net profit right their net profit means after expenses you can’t have net profit increasing and need to raise prices at the same time.
Have a legitimate need that means you are only doing it to make more money you’re selling the same Bull and you’re making more money let me tell you Netflix they are garbage doesn’t mean that we
don’t have it doesn’t mean that you don’t have it doesn’t mean that we don’t understand they are garbage but they’re doing this to ruin everyone else for the sake of their own gain and that’s where
we have a very selfish culture that is coming into line with corporations and the capitalist Marketplace that used to be founded in in goodness and now it is just deeply rooted in a very severe form of corruption so guys watch out. All these companies are going to start layoffs you’re going to start to see some very hard Economic Times here in the USA make do with less.

‘Forever Chemicals’ Linked to Increased Mortality From Heart Disease, Kidney and Testicular Cancer

A new study by Italian researchers is the first to formally demonstrate the link between PFAS exposure and cardiovascular mortality in the world’s largest exposed population.

Exposure to PFAS, or “forever chemicals,” is associated with an increased risk of mortality from cardiovascular disease, kidney cancer and testicular cancer, according to a new Italian study.

The longitudinal study, published April 16 in Environmental Health, is the first to formally demonstrate the link between perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances exposure and cardiovascular mortality in the world’s largest exposed population, according to the authors.

The findings add to the growing body of evidence on the health risks associated with PFAS, a group of synthetic chemicals used in a wide range of consumer products and industrial applications.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) last week announced it finalized a rule designating PFOA and PFOS as hazardous substances under the Superfund law. And on April 10, the agency announced the first enforceable legal limits for PFAS in drinking water.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) last week published an update on testing results for PFAS in food, indicating potential danger with the chemicals accumulating in fish. Additionally, it disclosed a revised testing method that can identify nearly twice as many PFAS chemicals in food.

The study and announcements come amid recent news exposing the presence of PFAS in Band-Aids, plastic food containers, firefighter gear and artificial turf, raising concerns about the ubiquity of these substances and their effect on human health.

‘Great and tragic natural experiment’ of PFAS contamination

The Italian study, led by researchers from the University of Padua, focused on an area in the Veneto region of northern Italy with a total population of about 150,000.

The area has been affected by PFAS water contamination since the 1980s, primarily due to emissions from a manufacturing plant that produced PFAS-containing products.

The area qualified as “the world’s largest episode of PFAS water contamination reported so far,” according to the study’s authors.

The researchers analyzed mortality data of nearly 60,000 people from 1980 to 2018, comparing the exposed population to a reference group from the same region.

They found that during the 34 years following the onset of PFAS contamination in 1985, the exposed population experienced 3,890 more deaths than expected based on the mortality rates of the reference group.

“In other words, every three days there were 12 deaths vs. 11 expected,” the authors said.

The excess deaths were largely attributed to cardiovascular disease, with the exposed population showing a significantly higher risk of dying from heart diseases, especially ischemic heart disease, characterized by the buildup of coronary plaque known as atherosclerosis that blocks arteries over time.

The study also found increased mortality from kidney and testicular cancers, consistent with previous research suggesting a link between PFAS exposure and these malignancies.

In the most affected area studied (Red area A), the odds of mortality from kidney cancer were 73% higher from 2015 to 2018.

Between 1985 and 1999, the researchers found an overall 40% increase in the odds of mortality from testicular cancer and a 156% increase for the most affected area.

However, no additional risk was noted after 1999, which the authors attributed to improvements in the treatment of the disease.

The strength of the Italian study lies in its unique design, which leverages the “great and tragic natural experiment” of the PFAS contamination in the Veneto region.

By comparing the exposed population to a reference group from the same area, the researchers were able to control for potential confounding factors and establish a clearer link between PFAS exposure and health outcomes.

However, the researchers acknowledged some limitations, such as the reliance on aggregate data at the municipality level and the inability to adjust for individual-level factors like smoking or diet.

Study authors call for immediate ban on PFAS production

The researchers suggested PFAS exposure may lead to an increased risk of cardiovascular disease through two main pathways: the development of atherosclerosis and the occurrence of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

“PFOA [perfluorooctanoic acid, a widely studied PFAS chemical] increases the serum levels of total cholesterol and low-density cholesterol,” the authors explained, citing previous studies.

Elevated cholesterol levels are well-established risk factors for atherosclerosis, a condition characterized by the buildup of plaque in the arteries, which can lead to heart attacks and strokes.

PFAS serum levels in children, adolescents and young adults in the region were also associated with several markers of cardiovascular disease, including blood pressure, triglyceride levels, total cholesterol and low-density cholesterol.

The authors also noted the possible role of diabetes in cardiovascular disease among PFAS-exposed individuals, finding an excess risk after 2010. They suggested future research on this topic.

“Associations of serum PFAS concentrations with multiple glycemic indicators of type 2 diabetes like glucose and insulin have often been reported, but epidemiological studies have yielded more conflicting results,” they stated.

The researchers proposed that the psychological impact of living in a PFAS-contaminated area may contribute to the development of PTSD which may in turn be associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease.

“Exposure to an environmental contamination resulting from industrial processes or accidents is psychologically stressful for the affected communities,” they wrote.

The allostatic overload occurs when “stress causes physiological changes and imbalances in stress mediators such as glucocorticoids from the adrenal glands, excitatory amino acids and cytokines,” the researchers said.

One local study cited in the paper noted high levels of parental anxiety regarding the health and quality of life of their children due to PFAS exposure.

Chronic stress can also increase the risk for hypertension and ischemic heart disease, the researchers pointed out, while stress itself, from any source, “interacts with exposure to pollutants and amplifies their effects by compromising, for example, the immune system.”

PFAS chemicals also have been linked to alterations in lipid metabolism during pregnancy and endocrine disruption, which can contribute to the development of chronic diseases.

The findings on kidney and testicular cancer are consistent with previous research, the authors noted, including a recent reevaluation by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), which classified PFOA as “carcinogenic to humans” and PFOS (perfluorooctanesulfonic acid, another common PFAS chemical) as “possibly carcinogenic to humans.”

A recent “RFK Jr Podcast” discussing firefighters’ PFAS exposure from turnout gear and fire-suppression foam also highlighted the high rates of prostate and testicular cancer in men and reproductive disorders in women.

“Our findings add some evidence to the existing literature,” the study authors wrote while acknowledging the evidence for testicular cancer was limited by the reliance on mortality data, as advances in treatment have improved survival rates.

The researchers called for an immediate ban on PFAS production and the implementation of additional remediation activities in contaminated areas, given their findings and the recent IARC revision.

New EPA rule makes polluters pay for cleanup

The EPA last week finalized a rule designating two widely used PFAS chemicals, PFOA and PFOS, as hazardous substances under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act, commonly known as the Superfund law.

The action, which drew attention to the growing concern over the health effects of “forever chemicals,” empowers the EPA to compel polluters to pay for or conduct investigations and cleanup of PFAS contamination.

The rule requires that entities immediately report releases of PFOA and PFOS that meet or exceed the reportable quantity of one pound within 24 hours to the National Response Center and to state, tribal and local emergency responders.

EPA Administrator Michael S. Regan called the new PFAS strategic roadmap “a whole-of-agency approach to protecting public health and addressing the harm to communities overburdened by PFAS pollution.”

Regan said the Superfund authority “will allow EPA to address more contaminated sites, take earlier action, and expedite cleanups, all while ensuring polluters pay for the costs to clean up pollution threatening the health of communities.”

The EPA’s action is based on scientific evidence demonstrating that exposure to PFOA and PFOS is linked to adverse health effects, including various cancers, cardiovascular and immune system damage, decreased fertility in women and adverse neurodevelopmental effects in children.

The EPA’s announcement highlighted $9 billion in funding to address PFAS and other emerging contaminants in drinking water, and an additional $12 billion supporting general drinking water investments, including PFAS treatment.

Environmental and public health advocates praised the EPA’s action. “It’s long past time for the polluters who poisoned all of us to be held responsible,” said Ken Cook, president and co-founder of Environmental Working Group.

“This decision is particularly welcomed by communities residing near these bases and Superfund sites, who have long been frustrated by the EPA’s perceived inaction in compelling polluters to address their pollution,” wrote environmental scientist Mindi Messmer on her Substack.

Messmer was referring to the PFAS contamination at the former Pease Air Force Base in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, which has adulterated the coastal shellfish population and the Coakley Landfill Superfund Site, which has polluted drinking water wells in several New Hampshire towns.

FDA update of PFAS testing of food samples

The FDA in an April 18 PFAS update reported on its recent testing of nearly 1,300 food samples — including “bread and grains; fruits and vegetables; and, meat, eggs, and dairy products, including milk” — as part of its Total Diet Study or from what it collected as part of targeted assignments.

The agency has been testing for 16 different types of PFAS. The results so far reveal that the majority of the tested foods do not contain detectable levels of these substances.

Reporting on one dataset of 95 samples, the FDA detected PFAS in eight samples — “two beef and two cod samples, and one sample each of shrimp, salmon, catfish, and tilapia” — but stated that the levels measured were “not likely to be a health concern for young children or the general population.”

The FDA noted the higher levels of PFAS found in fish and seafood may be due to the potential of “filter feeders, such as clams, but also other bivalve mollusks, including oysters, mussels, and scallops” to bioaccumulate more environmental contaminants than other types of sea animals.

To address the growing concerns, the FDA developed new analytical methods to detect and quantify PFAS in food samples, including an updated method that can measure 30 different PFAS types in various “food matrices.”

The agency is also working with state and local authorities to identify and investigate areas with known PFAS contamination and to assess the safety of locally grown and produced foods.
