Nearly everything of significance undertaken by America\u2019s military and intelligence community in the past
half-century has occurred in secrecy. The undertaking to build an atomic weapon, better known as the
Manhattan Project, remains the great model for all subsequent activities. For more than two years, not
a single member of Congress even knew about it although its final cost exceeded two billion dollars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During and after the Second World War, other important projects, such as the development of biological weapons,<\/p>\n\n\n

In theory, civilian oversight exists over the US national security establishment. The president is the military

A chilling example of such independence occurred during the 1950s, when President Eisenhower effectively lost control of the US nuclear arsenal. What he finally learned in 1960, his final year in office, horrified him: half of the Northern Hemisphere would be obliterated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Domestically, it maintains influence over elected officials and communities hoping for some of the billions of defense dollars.

They include such choice morsels as the phony war crisis of 1948, the fabricated missile gap

The Pentagon whistleblower who claims the US has run a top-secret UFO retrieval program for decades says some of the \u2018non-human intelligence\u2019 discovered are malevolent and have even killed humans. David Grusch served 14 years in the Air Force, where he says he was told about the program by others who were involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grusch, 36, is a decorated Afghanistan combat officer who went on to work for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). His role was to act as the NRO\u2019s representative when dealing with the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force. The task force was specifically set up to investigate UFOs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the last week, he has gone public with what he says it entailed, telling NewsNation about how the US is in an arms race with Russia and China to understand extra-terrestrial life. Grusch also made the astonishing claim that the US government would do anything to protect the secret \u2013 including killing people themselves. \u2018At the very least, I saw substantive evidence that white-collar crime was committed\u2026unfortunately. I\u2019ve heard some really un-American things I don\u2019t want to repeat right now,\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He claimed some of the UFOs discovered have been as large as football fields. Another military veteran also told sources that his six-man unit saw a hovering UFO being loaded with weapons while he was serving in Indonesia.
Others say they have encountered aircraft that can distort space and time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grusch filed his report in July last year. At the time, the Intelligence Community Inspector General called the complaint \u2018urgent and credible.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018There is a sophisticated disinformation campaign targeting the U.S. populace which is extremely unethical and immoral,\u2019 he said, accusing the US government of lying to the public for \u2018decades\u2019. \u2018We are most definitely not alone,\u2019 he said, adding that \u2018quite a number\u2019 of aircraft have been discovered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Pentagon denied having any knowledge of the program described by Grusch last week, but said it would follow ongoing investigations into his claims \u2018wherever they lead\u2019. The House Oversight Committee also says it will investigate his claims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
